The hand is connected to a statue outside of the Maritime Museum in Old Mystic Seaport. I don't know who put the flowers there, but I liked it.

I think the statue honors Charles Darwin.

I saw that one time, too. The flowers werent there this trip, but on a previous trip someone had put a rose in his hand
